Students need to be prepared for our first day of Physical Education class this Monday September 12, 2016
Dear Parent / Guardian, September 13, 2016

We would like to welcome you to the Lewis F. Cole Middle School Physical Education program. We are very excited to work with your child in the areas of health, fitness and exercise for the 16-17 school year. Our mission is to promote fitness and wellness into your child’s life. We implement a fitness oriented curriculum to help your child improve physically, mentally and socially.
Your child will be participating in Physical Education class daily and it is imperative that he/she is prepared. Your child has to change out of his/her school clothes and into PE clothes every day. Your child will need a lock, t-shirt, shorts or sweats, and sneakers. Everything should be placed in a small gym bag. All clothes should be weather appropriate. Our recommendation is to launder PE clothes at the end of each school week. To ensure your child’s preparation, please remind him/her to pack clean PE clothes for the next week.
If your child is hurt or ill and unable to participate in PE, a note must be provided. The note must include the reason for nonparticipation, the dates and duration of the excuse, and a parent signature and phone number. A parent note is valid for a maximum of 5 days. A doctor’s note is required thereafter. Please help us give your child his/her best PE program by working together and communicating. Give us a call at 201-585-4660 extensions 5513 or 5514 if there are any questions or concerns. We are looking forward to a healthy, happy, and fun-filled year.
Healthy Body = Healthy Mind = Healthy Spirit
Sincerely,
Mrs. Gratacos, Mrs. Lepore, Mr. Bello, and Mr. Zappel
